Vodafone Cuts Flat-Rate
Mobile Broadband Prices
Press Release - June 20, 2007
Vodafone UK has cut the cost of its mobile broadband offering by
almost 50%, offering up to 3GB of monthly bandwidth at a cost of just
£25.
The
company previously charged £45 for the service, which is available to
laptop computer users who possess a compatible 3G mobile broadband
card. Vodafone’s 3G network currently covers over 80% of Britain’s
population.
The
carrier has also launched a “pay-as-you-go” version of the service,
called Mobile Broadband 24, which allows customers to access the web
at a per-day cost of £8.50, with a daily usage cap of 500MB. Users of
this service must sign a contract, but are not billed unless they
choose to connect.
