Mozilla Launches Thunderbird 2 Email
Client
Press Release -
April 22, 2007
Open-source software developer, Mozilla, has launched version 2.0 of
Thunderbird, its highly popular, free email client.
Thunderbird 2, which is now available for download on Windows, Mac,
and Linux computers, comes with a number of new and enhanced features,
including Advanced Folder views, Message tagging, Message History
Navigation, and improved message searching capabilities.
The message tagging feature allows users to assign one or more tags to
each message, marking received emails as “to do,” “done,” or another
customized word or phrase. This, combined with enhanced searching and
viewing capabilities, should make it considerably easier to sort and
organize email.
