Motorola Ventures Makes Strategic
Investment in DARTdevices
Press Release -
February 2, 2007

Motorola Ventures, the strategic venture capital arm of America’s
leading cell phone vendor, has made a Series A investment in consumer
software developer, DARTdevices, the two companies revealed earlier
this week.
Since its formation in 2003, DARTdevices has developed software
allowing multiple consumer devices to remotely access applications on
other DART-enabled devices, including mobile phones and PCs.
“DART’s solution, which helps facilitate interoperability for multiple
application on disparate devices, aligns well with Motorola’s vision
of seamless mobility,” explained Tony Palcheck, and investment manager
with Motorola Ventures. “Their software allows wired and wireless
distribution of applications, games, and information … across mobile
phones, PCs, internet servers, PDAs, set-tops, MP3 players, and DVRs.”
Financial terms of Motorola investment in DARTdevices have not been
disclosed.
