List
Press Release -
May 24, 2007

PC World Magazine has released its official top-20 list of last
year’s most innovative and useful new technology products, awarding
big-name companies like Microsoft, Apple, Google, and Intel with
most of the top spots.
Google’s popular suite of web-based office applications (Google Apps)
placed #1 on the list, due to its flexible nature and high potential
for mobile collaboration.
“Google’s Docs & Spreadsheets (soon to be joined by a PowerPoint-esque
presentation application) already makes for an interesting alternative
to Microsoft Office,” PC World said in its online review. “Combine it
with Gmail, Google Talk, and Google Calendar, and suddenly nearly all
of your basic productivity programs and data can be available online.”
Intel’s Core 2 Duo microprocessor placed second on the PC World list,
followed by the Nintendo Wii gaming console, Verizon’s FiOS internet
service, and Research In Motion’s BlackBerry 8800 wireless email
device.
