Apple iPhone to Hit Stores on June 11

After many months of speculation, the long-anticipated Apple iPhone finally has a solid launch date.

Declan McCullough received word from got word from Apple’s carrier partner, AT&T, last week that the pricey new music phone would hit the U.S. retail market on June 11.

This date was likely chosen by the hardware giant to coincide with its with the Apple-sponsored Worldwide Developers Conference, which runs from June 11 to 15.

AT&T’s Chief Operations Officer, Randall Stephenson, revealed last week at the CTIA Wireless conference in Orlando, Florida that the carrier had heard from over a million customers, asking for more information about the Apple iPhone.
