Press Release -
July 4, 2007
ATCOM technology, a VoIP terminals manufacturer, has released a mini
ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter), designated the AG110 for the
large-scale deployments of VoIP applications. Measuring 9 x 7 x 2.7cm
and weighing 90g, the adapter is reportedly the smallest ATA in the
VoIP market – small enough to fit into a pocket or briefcase, claims
the company.
In
today's VoIP service market, the carriers need to give the ATAs to
their customers at low or now cost to attract more users, and only
become profitable with the large scale deployment. The Mini ATA AG110
device's tiny size and light weight are designed to minimize product
and shipping cost.
Despite its small dimensions, the Mini ATA provides full features. It
has one RJ-45 Ethernet port and one RJ-11FXS port to connect the
Ethernet and analog telephone. LEDs show at-a-glance the status of the
system, LAN, WAN, and phone ports. The adapter also has key features
like DHCP, NAT/PAT, VAD, QoS, caller ID , Call Forward, Call Transfer
compared with the normal ATAs.
The adapter's user friendly web interface offers both a basic settings
level and an advanced settings for the transport network.
Configuration and firmware can be downloaded from a centralized TFTP
or HTTP server. Not only can the adapter be used by service providers,
it is also suitable for the enterprises in their IP PBX system to
minimize communications costs.
As
the global VoIP market matures and competitions intensifies, only
those vendors focused on the market and with creative innovations
catering to the users' needs will emerge as winners. ATCOM believes
its Mini ATA will key a VoIP trend soon.
