and BlackBerry Pearl in Red
Press Release -
March 13, 2007
AT&T (Cingular) Wireless has launched two of its flagship
smartphones, the BlackBerry Pearl and Palm Treo 680, in ruby-red and
crimson, respectively.
The red BlackBerry Pearl will be the first mobile device branded with
the new AT&T logo, since the telecom giant acquired BellSouth Corp.
and gained 100% ownership of Cingular Wireless.
AT&T’s red BlackBerry Pearl comes equipped with the same set of
features of other Pearls, including push email, push-to-talk, and
wireless multimedia capabilities. It is being sold for $199.99, after
rebates, on a two-year service agreement.
Also available for $199.99 is the new crimson-colored Palm Treo 680,
which also comes in graphite, copper, and arctic white.
As
smartphone manufacturers increasingly target the consumer market, they
are making devices available in a wider array or colors, while packing
new models with advanced entertainment features such as cameras, music
players, and video capability.
