Swiss GSM Carrier in&phone Selects Blueslice’s Market Leading SDM Platform

Network re-build will include SIP-enabled ngHLR, HSS and AAA solutions

Montreal, Canada, February 17, 2009 - Blueslice Networks, the leader in subscriber data management, announced today that it has sold a SIP-enabled ngHLR, HSS and AAA, bundled into one fully integrated solution, to Unify Mobile, who will start activities with one of its mobile operations in Switzerland, in&phone.

With Blueslice’s CSP 3000™, which includes the ngHLR and its Advanced Low Cost Roaming solutions, in&phone can offer subscribers new roaming features and significantly reduce, even eliminate, roaming charges. Moreover, Blueslice’s patented Multi-IMSI will also allow end-users to have a single subscription in the ngHLR containing multiple identities (IMSIs) in several countries or area codes. in&phone’s subscribers will be seen as “local” by the network and can roam across borders on multiple networks without paying roaming surcharges.

in&phones’ plans to use Blueslice’s unique ngHLR-based Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution will allow subscribers to roam easily between GSM/UMTS and IP networks. The FMC is performed by Blueslice’s SIP-enabled ngHLR. By building these functions on one platform, multiple access technologies are unified into a single core network, thus reducing network transmission costs and complexity, enabling the deployment of sophisticated next generation services and allowing for a smoother evolution to IMS-defined FMC.

“Cost and quality have been the main driving forces for our customers. They want to use their mobile phone without the fear of paying huge roaming fees,” said Carel Begeer, Founder & Chief Development Officer, Unify Mobile. “Unify now has the tools to have multiple access technologies in multiple territories under a single user profile.”

“in&phone, like many carriers are faced with the challenges of modernizing aging networks while maintaining a high level of service at value prices. Blueslice is pleased to play a central role in this strategy” said Stephan Ouaknine, President & CEO, Blueslice Networks.
