Stage 2 Networks Hires Roy Chirdo As Chief Technology Officer

Newly Created Position Strengthens Management Team

New York, NY (May 11, 2009) - Stage 2 Networks, a leader in hosted PBX solutions, announces the appointment of Roy Chirdo to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, this position will consist of providing strategic and operational direction and support to new and existing products and services. In addition, Mr. Chirdo will be responsible for Network Engineering and Operations as Stage2 expands its infrastructure to support projected growth.

Welcoming Mr. Chirdo to the Stage 2 family, Joseph P. Gillette, President and CEO, said, "The appointment of Roy to the Chief Technology Officer post is an important milestone for our company. Mr. Chirdo brings over 30 years of technical leadership experience to Stage 2 and was most recently the Vice President of Carrier Services at M5 Networks where he was responsible for establishing M5 as a facilities-based CLEC. Prior to M5, Mr. Chirdo has held leadership positions with Infohighway Communications, Global Crossing, Teleport Communications Group, and AT&T. Roy is an engineering graduate from Polytechnic University of New York.
