SRegulators Approve Alvarion’s New BreezeACCESS WiMAX System

Alvarion Ltd., a leading provider of wireless broadband technology, announced yesterday that telecom regulators in the United States and Canada have certified its new BreezeACCESS VL multipoint WiMAX system, which operates in the 5.3-GHz and 5.4-GHz license-exempt spectrum bands.

The new regulatory certifications are evidence that Alvarion’s BreezeACCESS technology complies with the FCC’s Dynamic Frequency Selection requirements, intended to prevent disruptions to military radar signals.
