Cramer 6, also known as Amdocs OSS Suite 6, is a complex of applications built around the Resource Manager (RM) – the core system, a set of databases with an interface, that is used for storing and monitoring networks’ configuration data. The system was originally developed to administer Telecom circuit-based networks. The RM allows telecom operators to manage their network inventory.

The core feature of the system is the applications’ “service awareness”. By service awareness it is meant that the system allows not only administering the installed components – it also analyses the units’ functional and network connections’ configuration.

Unlike previous versions of the OSS suite, Cramer 6 is created “from scratch” and is written wholly in Java.
